Fishing the rugged West Coast of Vancouver Island is the ultimate fishing experience. Come fishing away from civilization; wet your line in places that are only recently being explored by sports fishermen! The luxury of being able to fish in the inner calm water of Nootka Sound or the open beaches of the Pacific Ocean are unique experiences in themselves. Salmon fishing, Vancouver Island BC Canada

One of the great attractions of a West Coast adventure is the success of local hatcheries, which provide consistent and healthy returns of salmon in addition to strengthening wild stocks. Nootka Sound itself is home to one of the top Chinook producing river systems on Vancouver Island with peak returns during July, August and September.

You'll stay at one of several unique floating lodges close to the "hot-spots" in the Nootka Sound area - perfect places to relax and enjoy after a days fishing. All accommodation is pre-arranged and taken care of for your convenience.

These lodges pride themselves on their friendly ambience, excellent meals and scenic locations. Most days of fishing consist of an early morning trip, back for a late breakfast, and then out for an afternoon fish.

For fishing the full day, lunches are included. At the end of the fishing day, a relaxing evening meal and time to enjoy the beautiful secluded scenery from your lodge gives time to reflect on the days events.

Fishing trips include:
Boat and guide, equipment, bait, tackle, accommodations and meals. A typical day's outing is 10-12 hours, and very close with fishing often just minutes away from your lodge. Full facility cabin cruisers are used for comfort, and all gear and equipment is included.

Expect to see a variety of wildlife too! On any given day, you'll see seals, deer, a variety of seabirds including bald eagles and you may also see porpoises, dolphins, sea lions, killer whales (Orcas), and bears!
