Fishing - Campbell River
Incredible guided salmon fishing on Vancouver Island in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada.
Campbell River is famous for salmon fishing and has been for many years. This is due to the size and quality of salmon caught here as well as the fact that all five species of Pacific salmon are found feeding or migrating through the waters of Discovery Passage - a bottle-neck body of water between Vancouver island and the mainland of British Columbia.

What to expect in Campbell River:
A day of fishing is always flexible, but you can count on spending six to twelve hours on board for maximum exposure to the best fishing times. Fishing trips are always arranged according to your preference, taking into account arrival and departure times and the other types of things you'd like to do while you're here.
Most days fishing start early, coinciding with local tides. The day of fishing is usually dictated by previous days on the water; where and when the "bite is on" gives us vital info for a successful day. Our odds are improved by knowing which spots will produce and when. Being on the water every day is a great advantage for us as guides, not to mention the expertise of several other guides who are always willing to trade "secrets" while the "bite is on".

Fishing takes place in protected waters that are not subject to ocean swells. In back eddies along the Inside Passage coastline not far from shore, and in most cases, not more than half an hour's boat-ride from the dock.
